Welcome to the catalogue of the Library of the Society of Friends, London.

The catalogue includes records for more than half of the printed material in the collections. You will find:

• all printed books and pamphlets catalogued by the Library since 1988

• almost everything published before 1801

• nearly all published anti-slavery, peace and temperance material

• most periodicals

• a growing number of periodical articles, including articles in Journal of Friends Historical Society, Friends quarterly, Quaker history, among others

• everything on open access in the Library reading room.

Catalogue records for other printed books and pamphlets are being added daily.

The Library of the Society of Friends is mainly a reference collection, although duplicate copies of books under 100 years old may be loaned to registered borrowers in the UK.

PLEASE NOTE: The catalogue also includes records for material in the Quaker Centre Resources collection, which is being transferred to Swarthmoor Hall, and is currently unavailable until January 2013.
